The Nutcracker 2007
Thousands of Angelenos saw Westside Ballet's 2007 performances of The Nutcracker at the 
Wadsworth Theater in Brentwood or the Smothers Theater in Malibu.
For the first time in recent memory, two performances were cancelled: the November 24 matinee and evening performance. The Corral Canyon fire in Malibu prompted Pepperdine University to close the theater. In response, Westside Ballet added a December 7 preview performance at the Wadsworth. Firefighters and their families were given free admission, and provided an enthusiastic audience.

Our Past Productions section includes selected casting for more than twenty years of Nutcracker. It's fun to see how many dancers went on to professional careers, including Monique Meunier (NYCB, ABT), Anna Liceica (ABT), Martine Harley (Houston Ballet), Melissa Barak (NYCB, Los Angeles Ballet), Andrew Veyette (NYCB), Stayce Camparo (Kansas City Ballet) and Francis Veyette (Pennsylvania Ballet).
