Spring Performance 2009: May 16

Spring ProgramThe annual Spring Performance was held at the Smothers Theater, Pepperdine University. There were two shows, a 2 p.m. matinee and a 7:30 p.m. evening show, both on Saturday, May 16.

Highights include Le Jardin Animé (music by Leo Delibes, choreography after Marius Petipa); Friends and Dance of the Hours - both excerpts from Coppélia (music by Leo Delibes, choreography after Arthur Saint-Leon); the playful Fete de Carnaval; a magical interlude from A Midsummer Night's Dream (music by Felix Mendelssohn); two jazz pieces; Yvonne Mounsey's Trio (music by Beethoven); and a pas de deux from Who Cares? (music by Gershwin, choreography by George Balanchine).
