Spring Performance 2008 Tickets
The Spring Performance date is Saturday, May 10 at 2 pm and 7:30 pm, Smothers Theater, Pepperdine University. Tickets will be available at the door about an hour in advance of each performance. Please allow extra time for parking, as construction at Pepperdine will impact parking and traffic. Download PDFs: map and parking info.
Highlights of the show will include the variations from Paquita, Valse Fantaisie, Cabaret, Gounod's ballet music from Faust, the Meditations pas de deux and Rosemary Valaire's Danse. (The video clip above is from the 2005 performance of Paquita.)
The children's ballet will be The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra, to Benjamin Britten's music.
Westside Ballet's signature piece, Classical Symphony, will round out the program. Yvonne Mounsey's witty choreography is the perfect complement to the music by Prokofiev.
